About

Presidential History:

During the Summer legislative session of 2017, #20 James Garfield (Steven Murphey) had a vision: A Swiss baseball club comprised of American ex-patriates. Garfield introduced legislation and a group of seven that would become the “Founding Fathers” agreed to meet in Zug, Switzerland (once home to famous Presidential Pardon recipient Marc Rich) to iron out the details in committee. The meeting at world-famous Mr. Pickwick Pub in Zug lasted into the wee hours, but the resulting law created a non-partisan baseball club with a 25-man roster open to U.S. passport holders living in or visiting Switzerland: The X-Presidents.

Our ranks are drawn from the top leagues of the Swiss Baseball Federation, and established players present in Switzerland, and when not on the campaign trail, our home field is the friendly confines of Rony Field in Hünenberg, Switzerland. The team plays in 2-3 tournaments per season, and hosts the annual late-season “Impeachment Proceedings” baseball tournament annually at Rony Field.

The X-Presidents are managed by General Manager #20 James Garfield (Steven Murphey), and Co-Manager #34 Dwight D. Eisenhower (Michael Bini).
